Plus, the Elizabeth Line will be stopping at Bond Street from 2018, linking East and West via Central London.

What do the locals say?
Mayfair is one of my all time favourite areas in London, mainly because it is home to one of my most treasured institutions, the Royal Academy of Arts on Piccadilly – its regular programme of exhibitions is just superb! I love Mayfair’s traditional/old fashioned feel, village like sentiment, sophistication, and glamour. It is also on the doorstep of some of London’s top retail destinations – Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Fortnum & Mason, and the Burlington Arcade (though the prices aren’t for the faint hearted…Think quality over quantity…!) – Leah.
I’m quite interested in art which is why I regularly visit the latest exhibitions at the Royal Academy of Arts in Mayfair. The area surrounding the gallery, particularly the architecture, is visually pleasing. – Yves.
In the summer, for me, no London parks can beat London’s finest, just round the corner from the heart of Mayfair – Hyde Park, Green Park or St James’ Park. Grab a blanket, couple of friends, bottle or few of Prosecco and you can’t ask for any better! – Grace.
It has the best sunset views over London – the colours from are breathtaking! – Nour.
Mayfair has everything you need – it’s full of shops and restaurants, and I especially love the small streets which are so rare in London – they give Mayfair a very romantic atmosphere. – Laura.
