Home buyers look for the perfect location over anything else, according to a recent survey.
The My Home Move report showed 58% of people said location was the deal breaker when hunting for their dream home.
According to the findings, location is also the biggest reason why a buyer will reject a property.
The location factor
Finding the right location is extremely important on so many different levels. Where you choose to live will have a major impact on your lifestyle, especially if you are moving to a completely new area.
So what exactly do home buyers look for when choosing a property’s location?
In an ideal world, the report showed that buyers would be more likely to invest in a location that has:
- Good transport links
- A nearby green area
- Shops, cafes and restaurants close by.
And for 20 something’s, being in an up and coming area was also hugely important. Often, finding the right location will not only mean a lifestyle upgrade, but will determine the future value of your investment.
So if you’re thinking of selling your house and you’ve got plenty of amenities, lush green spaces and envious transport links in close proximity, you should have no trouble at all.
However, the perfect location is not the only thing home buyers look for.
What else do home buyers look for?
Second on the list was price.
Unsurprisingly, 37% of people said the key to finding their perfect property was how much it would cost.
Other decision influencing factors include:
- A well-maintained garden
- The interior’s decor
- The living room.
